cry: I have to head back to the US for the next six months. Personal as well as work related. Since I can't stand round-eyes, I am wondering if there are any Nihon Fujin that are going to be in the L.A., Gardena, Torrance, CA area that would like to get together with me?

Also of help would be leads to any kissa and hostess clubs known to be in the mentioned areas.

Did you suffer culture shock going back to America? I haven't been back in 4 years. Is it true that no one has heard of Tama-chan outside of Japan? :o

After too many countries, too many times, I have stopped having culture shock. Oh, I notice the differences that have happened, new slang, dress, et cetra, but I just roll with it. What other choices are there?

I guess it it simular to my life-long lack of jetlag, which I think is a bunch of bullcrap anyhow. Even after a fourteen hour non-stop (like L.A. to Seoul -8 tz's- or to Hamburg -9 tz's) hundreds of friends, family and business associates have witnessed my instant adaptation to their time and tempo. I have bosses and other company people that have refused to travel with me because they can't keep up with me after even a three time-zone trip. What whimps!

So, it is really up to you. If you want to have culture shock, have it. If you don't? Don't! Under any circumstances, hang in there Joe!
